Keeping a roster of skills is vital for my practice as it allows me to maintain a connection with the materials I work and develop ideas in tandem. In this way making and thinking are very much interrelated and inform me.
This past summer I took part in a glass blowing workshop a the Glass Hub in Wiltshire. The workshop allowed me to connect with the medium and learn a bit more about it however the furnaces and the facilities were not adapted to producing the work I had envisioned making. The pieces that were created are pictured below.
